When entering the doors of Toolbox LA, most people are awestruck by our beautiful facility with it's bright natural lighting, murals, and contemporary layout. In moment's be prepared to make new friends and be offered complimentary coffee and kombucha by the friendly staff.
The Cafe
Nothing brings people together like food does, so we've made sure that our kitchen is equipped with enough yummy snacks, cutlery, refrigerator space, coffee, and more for our community.
Lunch time is probably our busiest time and where you'll find many of the members having lunch together and discussing their projects.
We also offer private meeting rooms which are open for reservation to members and non-members that provide a comfortable professional setting for those who
need it. Inclusivity is a priority here at Toolbox LA, so we made sure to incorporate accessible entrances, gender-neutral bathrooms, and a private Mother's Room for Mompreneurs where they can pump or change their child while they're coworking out of our facility.
Makerspace
And yes, that is a firetruck thank you for noticing. This retired 50's firetruck serves as landmark for those looking for our Makerspace.
Go past it and find yourself in a land designed for builders and artists featuring private studios, 3d printers, a wood working shop, power-tools, a laser cutter, robots, cnc machines, and people building jetpacks!
EMBED GALLERY
Our facility also features an art gallery run in collaboration with 11:11 A Creative Collective named EMBED GALLERY. The grand opening of this art gallery took place May of 2019 and currently rotates exhibitions every few months. So be sure to come back regularly to see all the radical new art on display.
Coworking
Although people are welcome to work throughout the facility, this area is a designated space for focused work. We have plenty of communal seating at our shared desks as well as Private Offices for rent and Dedicated Desks. Since our reopening in June 2020, we have spaced out our shared desks to encourage social distancing while coworking.
Community
It's no wonder why so many people call Toolbox LA their home. Between the 24/7 access, the ameneties, and the tools: there are so many reasons to join! But there is one above the rest and that is the community itself.
The amount of talented, intelligent, and generous people that walk through our doors is astounding. From founders, venture capitalists, and nonprofit organizers to designers, coders, youtubers, engineers, and aritsts: our community is as diverse as our facility!
